Adaptation and Sanitation – toward a climate-resilient sector

This publication aims to raise awareness of the sector's vulnerability to the climate crisis, explain what adaptation means, and advocate for the creation of a sanitation sector resilient to current challenges. The material presents key adaptation measures for sanitation, from the necessary legal and institutional bases to priority actions for droughts, floods and extreme events. Additionally, the document aims to show how a prepared sanitation sector can contribute to risk reduction and climate crisis mitigation.
