Water and sanitation in Brazilian schools: indicators of racial inequality based on the School Census

The study analyzed access to the public water supply network, sewage and waste collection, and disposal by public authorities, as well as access to drinking water and toilets in Basic Education schools, which include Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, High School and Education for Young People and Adults. The data substantiates the disparities in conditions experienced by students of diverse racial or ethnic groups, thereby illuminating the intricate tapestry of racial inequalities in education.
